Once restrictions begin to lift, our programme of OV audits will resume with the aim of striking a balance between reassuring stakeholders on quality of testing and not posing any enhanced risk to OVs, keepers, or to the audit team. The programme of announced audits is likely to be the first element to reintroduce. This allows the team to discuss planned visits with the practice beforehand and to ensure that the test is suitable for audit purposes.
