24 Apr Notifiable Disease Outbreak Training – African Swine Fever (ASF)

APHA have developed a course, available via Improve International, on the subject of ASF. This course is available to all vets working under the VDP contracts with Farmcare. Whilst there is no expectation for OVs to complete this course, it is being made available for those who wish to complete it. Enrolment onto the course is free and whilst there is no payment available for the time spent doing the training, it is recognised CPD that OVs can count towards their RCVS CPD requirement. In the event that we have confirmed ASF in GB and OVs are required to deliver work, they will need to successfully complete the course before carrying out any outbreak duties on behalf of Farmcare and APHA.
