As mentioned above we understand that there are occasions when it has not been possible to submit the results of any task because the work is not available within your SAM workbasket. It appears that this may happen when you have bene presented with an additional tracer test on farm or when you have pre-arranged a short interval test in full expectation of the test being issued in due course.

We therefore strongly advise a supplier practice to ensure that the task details are accessible within your Sam workbasket before any work is undertaken or firm test dates are agreed.

It appears that Tracer tests are the ones that suffer the highest frequency of failure to submit within the required timelines and we believe that this may be due to farmers being notified in advance of the work being issued in Sam but with the work having to be done within fairly tight timelines.

If you make a test arrangements with the farmer then please ensure that the work schedule is available within SAM before you firm up the test date arrangements.
